Welcome to Ride to Find
Join me on a quest for adventure, food destinations and great stuff.
Sometimes I ride just to ride and on those days I might capture a video of my journey and of my stops for food. Some food stops are recommendations from other riders, some I find on Yelp and some are just lucky discoveries.
Other days, my destination is to thrift shops, estate sales or spots where I can find things that I might like to own. If it's something I would own myself, I just may pick it up, toss it in a saddle bag, ride it home and post it on e-bay or on another site. I've been fortunate to find some pretty cool stuff. And yes, this mode of transporting items can be a bit tricky, but soft thick wrapping and packing items snugly in the saddle bags has worked for me so far. Photos taken of items are after motorcycle transport so you see the exact condition of each item.
Hi. I'm Ryan.
I am a husband and father of two and spent more than 20 years in the automotive industry. Now it's time for adventure.
I ride a Harley Street Glide and a Honda Africa Twin to spots across Southern California and beyond.
My adventures start from Rancho Cucamonga, CA. If you have ideas for places I can visit, drop me a line at ryan@ridetofind.com.
Check out my adventures on YouTube.
Meet Freya
Why these two bikes you ask? The classic black and chrome Harley was my dream bike since I was a kid. And it's a bike that actually fits my 6'4" frame. I finally brought my "girlfriend" home in 2019. While my wife of 21 years may have been a bit jealous at first, I think she's grown to enjoy the quiet time when the noise leaves the house for a few hours.
Meet Raven
And where the Harley can't go, the Honda can. If you've ever tried off-roading on a Harley, you'd understand. Raven means business and lets me keep up with my younger brother, Tony on rides off the path. Raven is a new addition and I'm still breaking her in, but so far I'm enjoying her versatility and I love that she can be ridden in the rain more easily.
